Ashley Pelletier

I was born and grew up in Montreal, Quebec. At the age of 5, my father started country line dancing and would bring me with him every other week. This is when my passion for dance started. I would follow him around going to every dance class and social that I could.
In 2003 we had Nathalie Pelletier visit our dance social where she noticed my dancing and offered to formally train me for competition.
We ended up meeting her and her dance troup at a 12 hour dance event and she needed a last minute replacement for one of her dancers and I gladly jumped in! I am lucky to say that I learn choreography extremely quickly and was able to help her out that day.
It led me to having semi-private lessons with her and competing that year in the UCWDC where I won a gold medal in my junior cateogry. Unfortuntely I do not come from a wealthy family and my dad spent everything he could just for that year of lessons.
I unfortunately had to stop competing but my passion for dance was always there.
Fast forward to now.. I currently live in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada where I co-own a dance school.
I've recently started choreographing dances and focus on fluidity of dance steps as well as the level according to my dance students. As they evolve and increase in level, my choreographies will as well!!
