How I got into linedancing ? Myself and work colleagues decided to do something different for a night out, so I saw the advert for line dance beginner classes way back in 1998 and was hooked from lesson 1. After enjoying social dancing from that time, I decided I really wanted to teach a class, so I passed my IDTA exam in 2009 and I've been teaching linedance classes ever since. I like to keep learning and after a friend entered me into a line dance competition with UKDC without telling me, I bravely stepped onto the competition floor and the rest, as they say, is history. I have been competing since 2015 and have since become 8 times European Champion with both UKDC & World Dance Masters and I became World Champion in the Silver Division in 2018 for both Solo and Pro-am. I defended my title in 2019 and became World Champion in Pro-am and came 2nd in Solo's. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, no competitions have taken place in 2020, so we await 2021 with trepidation. My real passion is teaching dance. I love to watch dancers come in and enjoy the intricacies of some dances and the laughter and enjoyment along the way. I think laughter is a key when teaching and I love to see friendships being forged along the way
