VanNghi Vo

Instructor for all genres of music, offering beginner and improver level classes weekly, and hosting events around the island monthly.

Originally from Orange County, CA and having spent most of her life in the city, VanNghi was drawn to the lush landscape of Kauai in 2013 in order to live closer to the natural world. Recognizing the need for more communal nightlife options - she decided to try and build a “dance scene” through her line dance classes. She envisioned a “Honkytonk” atmosphere where everyone from all corners of the island could come together pulling off the same moves under one roof. After months of offering classes, this vision culminated in a lively celebration at her First Annual Honkytonk Hoedown 2023. Now she holds 5 classes a week and can be found hosting events all over the island on a regular basis.
VanNghi believes that everyone should be able to participate, and is especially grateful for line dancing because it is not limited to people with a dance-background. Her dream is to one day open up a stylish venue in which people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to continue learning, and dance the night away! She also dreams that her instruction can take her all over the globe to teach people around the world.
